Very few people realize the power of the mind when it comes to business. Do you realize that there is a real power in using your mind to overcome those blockages that keep you from overcoming fears and frustrations? Do you know that there are techniques that can help you prepare for a presentation even more effectively, and that will make a lasting impact? Do you know that when you know how to really listen with your eyes and your ears, and do a little listening to your intuition, you can actually connect better to potential customers and clients? And there's a lot more! When I do hypnosis demonstrations for businesses, it's not about the funny stuff (although it does happen, and it's truly hilarious!). It's really about learning how to teach yourself the skill of using your mind to actually be your "Personal Secret Assistant" that will help you make that connection, get that ad copy just right, and close that sale. You get tools and techniques you can apply right away. You get practice in putting those tools to work for you...today. In a time like now, where the pandemic has changed the way we think about business, these skills couldn't come at a better time! Can shows happen during a pandemic? Yes! I have re-engineered my entire show to be able to be done online by Zoom, or even in-person with social distancing. With mindreading, there is often the challenge of close contact. I've done away with the need for that, which actually makes the show even stronger, amazing, and even funnier than before! With hypnosis, I can hypnotize people from a distance. Remember, I'm a trained hypnotherapist, so I know what I'm doing! I can have people completely distanced apart from each other, and put on a great hypnosis show without coming near them. It really is fun and amazing! And don't forget that I do handwriting analysis, which is perfect for social distancing. I did a show recently by Zoom to Colorado, and everyone had an absolute blast of a time! Lots of laughter, gasps of amazement at the accuracy of the readings, and I ended up going a bit overtime, so that everyone had a turn, including the people who were skeptical at the beginning! Interested or want to find out more? Contact me, and we'll get the conversation started! When you hire me for a show, you are hiring someone who is FLEXIBLE with performing conditions. Having performed for well over a decade, I've been just about everywhere, from a full broadway stage to a living room.
"Can you do shows outdoors?" Absolutely! In fact, I have done a number of outdoor shows over the years with great success! It's not true that I need an enclosed environment to do mindreading. (Heck, I even do mindreading over the phone all the time!) I don't need darkness or subdued lighting to hypnotize anyone. I've hypnotized someone when they were fully awake in a corporate boardroom! So yes, I can certainly do outdoor shows with no problems at all. I'll even bring the sound system, so you have nothing to worry about. "Do you perform in bars & restaurants?" A majority of my shows take place in those venues, so it's no problem at all. I can even perform surrounded...after all, I'm not doing magic tricks! In these unusual times, I am happy to announce two NEW shows that you can choose from when booking me for your next event! The Murder Mystery Show and The Virtual Psychic Show are waiting for you. Both of these shows are packed with the fun and amazement you've come to expect. THE MURDER MYSTERY SHOW This captivating show is a complete murder mystery that involves the entire audience! Both the murderer and victim are secretly chosen, and then the real mystery begins as the PSYCHIC DETECTIVE (Don Marlette) begins the show. Moments of mystery, laughter, and stunned amazement make this the perfect crowd-pleasing show! More information about The Murder Mystery Show here. THE VIRTUAL PSYCHIC SHOW With social distancing and other limitations, a live in-person show just isn't possible. But why let that get in the way? The Virtual Psychic Show is a complete show performed through your preferred digital platform (e.g., Zoom, GoogleMeet, etc.). Audience members have a wonderful time as they have a "psychic experience" across the distance! More information about The Virtual Psychic Show here. What will happen at a corporate, high school, college show with me?
You will laugh, enjoy yourself, and be glad you were there. And there's more! After all, why just have fun at the event, when you can pick up a few skills to use in your everyday life? You will learn especially how to communicate and listen beyond mere words. During the show, you will learn: 1. Ways to tell a lie from a truth 2. Basics of reading body language, and hear voice "tells" 3. How to understand someone's personality through their handwriting 4. How to listen to your own unconscious mind's nudges 5. How to become a more caring, compassionate person It's been a busy time of entertainment for holiday parties, with lots of travel, laughs and memorable events.
Most recently, I was in Kohler, Wisconsin, entertaining once again this year for the Kohler Company with my unique and fun approach to Handwriting Analysis. I was quite busy with a great group of amazing people, and nearly out of a voice at the end of the night! The weather hasn't been the greatest ally this year, as I had to unfortunately cancel one event, and reschedule a few others, no thanks to ice and heavy snow! Of course, the whirlwind touring isn't over yet, as I head down to Iowa for another event in a couple of weeks, with some parties in between. Then it will be time for a very full season of post-prom and graduation parties. After the Kohler event, once person asked me if I was tired. I love what I do, and, although it certainly is work, it is work that I enjoy doing every time! The calendar keeps building up, so if you're trying to get me scheduled for a future event, contact me, and we'll see what we can do for you. Have a great day! While I'm still busily booking Halloween parties (ranging from house parties to corporate mixers), the Holiday and Christmas Party season is already in full swing! While there are videos already on the site from various shows, as well as videos on my YouTube channel, I still get questions about what a show is like, and how much it costs. Cost. Let's get the big question out of the way first: Cost. It is best to figure $10-$20 per person for a general idea of the cost of a show. However, that's not a rigid rule. I will try my best to work within your budget constraints without going so low that I can't really make a living (this is my full-time job, after all!). There are two things I'm known for: group mindreading and wide-awake suggestion. Group Mindreading. Unlike most "mentalists", I use practically no stage props or paraphernalia. I use my experience as a comedian to engage the group, and then proceed to read minds. The high point of my mindreading show is the Great Group Mindreading Experience: I will sit in a chair facing the audience with just a pad and pen jotting down notes as I feel thoughts coming to me. I will call out a person’s initials and once verified, I will state their full name and a few details about them. I might relate numbers that people are merely thinking of and the names of other family members or the name of a pet. Then there is Wide-Awake Suggestion: rarely seen anywhere in the world. While I might "put people under" at a hypnosis show, I conclude my regular mindreading shows by having volunteers wide awake, and they still forget their name, get stuck to their chair, and even see invisible pets! Audience members are literally doubled over, laughing so much! I'll tell you a secret: for some audiences, I will showcase a very strange skill. It stems from a childhood game called “Hot & Cold” where children hide an object and a player tries to find it by asking if they are hot or cold while searching for it. I developed a particular skill for this as a child, to the point where no one said anything at all, and I STILL found the object! Now as a professional performer, I sometimes have an object hidden by an audience member beforehand, and then use that skill to find it. Curious? Contact me for more information, because the calendar really is filling up fast! It's been a busy month and beyond, with corporate events and private parties. As soon as I get home, I'm already getting ready to go to the next events, whether in Minnesota, Wisconsin, or beyond! The picture to the left is from one of the corporate events. Why the blindfold? Well, I'm trying to find something that's been hidden, and I'm happy to report that I was successful! There were lots of laughs at that show, especially when it got to the Great Mindreading Experiment of Audience Readings. I also had the chance to talk with the Tri-State Women's Connection in Iowa recently, especially about the psychology of symbols on ordinary playing cards. I stayed after to sign copies of my new book, "Cards: How Playing Cards Can Reveal Your Inner Thoughts and Desires." I've already started scheduling Holiday Parties, so time marches on! Preparing for your Halloween party is a ton of work, and you certainly don’t want your guests yawning the night away! Save yourself from the stress of feeling like you have to push your guests from activity to activity, by preparing a list of activities for your guests to enjoy during your party! Consider sectioning your house into themed areas. Have a mystical fortune teller’s room, with a coffee table covered with a black cloth. Add a few candles, some old photos, playing cards and a few chairs and there you have it! You might have the “spooky stories” room, where people can read from some classic (or new) scary stories, or even make up their own. Guests might even compete for a prize at the end of the night for who has the creepiest story! Another possibility is to have a scavenger hunt, where teams visit each room to collect one “haunted” object. You might give them a list of clues for each team, so that each team gets one particular object, while doing a different activity in each room to get there. Have an area where your guests can take scary pictures. You might decorate the area with some cardboard gravestones, some blue lighting, and a few spooky cobwebs (I’m sure your imagination can add even more!). Everyone can have a great time posing for spooky pictures in the “graveyard.” Don’t forget the costume contest! Of course, you can always jazz it up a bit. If singing is the group’s favorite, consider a costume & karaoke contest. You might have other awards for scariest story (see above), most ghoulish couple, or even "most" un-dead zombie. (Shameless plug!) You might consider some psychic entertainment from Yours Truly, doing card readings, fun fortunes or even doing a Paranormal Party. Interested? Contact me for availability! |
